About Digamber Jain Polytechnic
Started In 1956
This institution was started in the year 1956 by D.Jain High School Association, Baraut as Digamber Jain Engineering Institute in the beginning three years diploma in Civil Engineering was started. It was recognized by the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh in 1962 and Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Courses were introduced since then.
WHO WE ARE
The institute is run by the Board of Management which constitutes the Members nomminated by the Central Govt., Uttar Pradesh Govt., and three Members from Parent body i.e. Digamber Jain High School Association Baraut with Principal as its Secratary and two staff representative each year by rotation.
The Polytechnic is entirely financed by the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh through the Director of Technical Education UP Kanpur. All the courses running in the institute are recognised by The Board of Technical Education U.P. Lucknow, and approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
This Institute is situated on Barka Road Baraut and Ami nagar Sarai Road Baraut with in Municipal limit of the Town. The institute has lush green environment.
Baraut is situated on a equilateral Triangular point with Meerut on the second point at a distance of fifty three kilometers and delhi on the third point at a distance of fifty kilometers from Baraut. This Town is connected by Bus Service from Meerut, Delhi and Muzaffarnagar. It is also connected by rail and is located at Delhi-Saharanpur Northern Railway Line.

Now, let me tell you about the place you will live when you join us. We are located in the vibrant part of Baraut (Baghpat). It is a picture square approx 23 acre campus with co-curricular activities like NCC (National Cadet Corps) Senior Division, N.S.S., CDTP (run by MHRD) and many more such activities which will help to build over all personality in almost all field. My Collegues in their respective departments, workshops and offices, remain no stone unturned doing their work. Each and every staff at D.J. Polytechnic is like family. We have adopted a simple philosphy: “Get the brilliant minds, create the right atmosphere for them to flourish and then step back and watch them grow into confident adults.
